PAPER DISRUPTIONS

PAPER DISRUPTIONS

Conceptually

Paper Disruptions is a material meditation, that questions the balance between nature and nurture. Pondering, can we disrupt our nature by adopting a little chaos nurture freedom?

These ideas manifest in sculptural works, which through process and materiality are ‘nudged’ left, seeking to equipoise form through a haptic application of Carton Pierre.

Materiality

Equal parts functional object and conceptual forms Paper Disruptions is lightweight, durable and easily repairable, merging environmental responsibility with practical longevity and creating a new model for circular design.

Sustainability

Paper Disruptions embodies a bold commitment to sustainability. Each piece uses paper waste supplied by the printing industry - or directly from the client - with Natural Hydraulic Lime (NHL), which cures through carbonation actively sequestering CO₂ as it hardens.

The result connects client, material and object together creating deeply personal one-of-a-kind piece of sculptural furniture.

Applications

Through conversation, both material and process can be applied to a variety of forms creating sustainable pieces with a considered aesthetic and a client focused narrative.
